Today, Argentina left the World Health Organization (WHO).
When he first announced the decision last year, Argentina’s President, Javier Milei, was blunt about why his country was walking away:
“We have decided to leave such a harmful organisation, which was the executing arm of what was the largest social-control experiment in history.”
Today, Pablo Quirno, Argentina’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship said:
“Our country will continue to promote international cooperation in health through bilateral agreements and regional forums, fully safeguarding its sovereignty and its decision-making capacity in health policy matters.”
The question now is: will other nations follow?
