No Taxation Without Representation

Is the WHO a health agency or a front group campaigning for national governments to raise more and more taxes on its hardworking people?

The WHO launched an initiative in July 2025 with the “ambitious but achievable goal of raising US$1 trillion over the next 10 years ” by urging countries to raise real prices on alcohol and soft drinks.

That is not their role. The WHO is supposed to be led by Member-States. If unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats want to campaign for higher taxes, they should stand for election, put it in their manifesto and see who votes for it.

We say there should be No Taxation Without Representation.
