Nine years ago today, the people of the United Kingdom voted to take back control.
The Brexit referendum on 23 June 2016 was a defining moment and a bold stand for sovereignty, democracy, and self-determination.
Nigel Farage, now Co-Founder and Chairman of Action on World Health, led that campaign against overwhelming odds.
But nine years on, the battle for sovereignty is far from over.
Just last month, the World Health Organization’s Pandemic Treaty was adopted handing more and more power to distant and unelected bureaucrats. This is everything Britain voted to escape in 2016.
Brexit showed the world what happens when people stand up for their rights and demand control over their future. That spirit is needed now more than ever.
As President Ronald Reagan reminded us: “Freedom is a fragile thing and it’s never more than one generation away from extinction.”
The fight isn’t over. We’ve proven before that the people can win and we’ll do it again.
