About Nigel
Nigel Farage is the Leader of Reform UK and Member of Parliament for Clacton since 2024. He has led the national debate on key issues, including Brexit, migration and the state of the economy.

Farage entered politics back in 1993 and was one of the founding members of UKIP, serving as Party Chairman, and then later as Party Leader for more than one stint. He served as a Member of the European Parliament for the South East region between 1999 and the UK's exit from the European Union in 2020.

Farage successfully led the charge for the UK to leave the European Union in 2016, having previously campaigned for a referendum since entering politics. He was the figurehead of Leave.eu as well as Leave Means Leave, then latterly launching the Brexit Party to fight the 2019 European elections, which as Leader of the Party, he won, despite the Party barely being six weeks old.

Nigel Farage has been at the forefront of British politics for over three decades now, and now as Leader of Reform UK is leading the national opinion polls, winning local government elections and is in poll position to be the Prime Minister after the next general election.

His background includes growing up in Kent, attending Dulwich College, but instead of progressing to university, he cut his teeth on the London Metal Exchange as a trader in the city in the 1980s, before establishing his own commodity brokerage firm, leaving that behind for a life in politics.
